Poland's consumer price inflation was confirmed at 3.0 percent year-on-year in November 2020, down from 3.1 percent in the previous month. The annual inflation rate in Poland dropped to 3 percent in November of 2020 from 3.1 percent in the previous month, a preliminary estimate showed. Prices are set to increase for electricity, gas and other fuels (4.7 percent) and food & non-alcoholic beverages (2 percent). On the other hand, cost of fuels for personal transport equipment is expected to plunge (-9.2 percent). Poland Inflation Rate Slows Less than Expected
The annual inflation rate in Poland edged down to 3.1% in October 2020 from 3.2% in the previous month, above preliminary estimates of 3%. Cost slowed for food & non-alcoholic beverages (2.4% vs 2.8% in September); recreation & culture (3.3% vs 3.6%) restaurants & hotels (5.1% vs 5.3%) and household equipment (1.4% vs 1.5%). On the other hand, prices advanced faster for housing & utilities (7.5% 7.3%); alcohol & tobacco (4.8% vs 4.7%); health (5.1% vs 5%); other goods & services (3.2% vs 2.9%) and communication (4.6% vs 5.5%). Meantime, prices fell further for transport (-4.6% vs -4.9%) and clothing & footwear (-2.4% vs -2%) while inflation was steady for education (at 5.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.1%, following a 0.2% rise in September and in line with earlier estimates.

The annual inflation rate in Poland fell to 3 percent in October of 2020 from 3.2 percent in the previous month, a preliminary estimate showed. Cost of food & non-alcoholic beverages is expected to slow (2.3 percent from 2.8 percent in September). Also, prices of fuels for personal transport equipment are set to plunge (-9.2 percent, the same as in September). Meanwhile, Cost of electricity, gas and other fuels is seen rising at a faster pace (4.8 percent from 4.6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices should increase 0.1 percent, following a 0.2 percent gain in the prior month.
