The central bank of Indonesia left its key reverse repurchase rate unchanged at a record low of 3.75 percent on December 17th 2020, in line with forecasts and following a 25bps cut in the previous meeting. In 2020 the central bank lowered the borrowing cost five times, cutting the main rate by a cumulative 125bps, in an attempt to support the economy after the coronavirus-hit.
